Rhythmic and Bowing Core: The central engine of the piece relies on a crisp "shuffle" rhythm (quarter-note followed by two eighths). Encourage students to use light, active bow strokes near the middle of the stick to maintain clarity without letting the accompaniment overwhelm the melody.

Melodic Hand-Offs and Balance: The primary theme moves seamlessly through the upper and lower strings.  Focus rehearsing dynamic shifts, such as the drop to mp at m. 35 and the push to f at m. 51, to ensure inner-voice rhythm patterns complement rather than cover the active melodic lines.

Bass and Cello Foundation: Basses begin pizzicato to set the steady backbeat groove before transitioning arco at m. 11.  Cellos shift between driving accompaniment ostinatos and low-register melodic support, serving as the rhythmic anchor throughout.
