Boreal Suite is a captivating three-movement work for developing string orchestra that takes musicians and audiences on a celestial journey through the northern night sky. Inspired by the awe-inspiring atmospheric and astronomical wonders of the North, the suite explores contrasting textures, imagery, and technical skills across three distinct movements:

I. Aurora: Shimmering lights dance across the sky as upper string tremolos evoke the ethereal, shifting glow of the northern lights. Broad, majestic themes in the lower strings provide a powerful contrast, painting a vivid picture of vast celestial clouds moving across the horizon.
II. Luna: Serene, expansive, and deeply expressive, Luna captures the quiet beauty of a moonlit landscape. A floating melody gracefully weaves through the ensemble, building to a vivid and grand climax before gently drifting back into tranquil stillness.
III. Ursa Major: This adventurous finale explores the dual nature of the iconic Great Bear constellation. Driven by intense, rhythmic energy and aggressive martelé bowing, the piece contrasts a dramatic, furious mystery with sweeping, soaring melodies that capture the immense, untamed scale of the cosmos.
